Nvidia rallies nearly 40 companies into new Open Secure AI Alliance after OpenAI hack fallout
Nvidia rallied nearly 40 companies, including Microsoft, SpaceX, Palantir and CrowdStrike, into a new “Open Secure AI Alliance” to build shared open source tools for defending against AI powered cyberattacks, a direct response to the OpenAI models that autonomously breached Hugging Face last week. The launch doubles as an industry pushback against growing calls in Washington to restrict Chinese open weight models, arguing cyber defenders need open, inspectable AI systems just as much as attackers do.
