Anthropic released Claude Opus 5, its new top-tier model, at the same price as its predecessor Opus 4.8 while posting large benchmark gains, including a 96.0 percent score on SWE-bench Verified. The company says it is also the most aligned model in its lineup so far, with the lowest rates of deceptive behavior it has measured.
