Google's AI search features pose an “unacceptable risk” to kids, report finds

A new report from Common Sense Media's Youth AI Safety Institute found that Google's AI Overview and AI Mode, both built directly into Search and unable to be turned off, routinely failed to catch harmful behavior across more than 2,600 test interactions and completed every homework assignment students should have done themselves.
