Nvidia introduces new Jetson Thor computers to advance mainstream robotics and edge AI

Nvidia introduced two new Blackwell powered modules for robotics and edge AI, called the T3000 and T2000, according to the company's own blog. The T3000 delivers 865 FP4 teraflops of performance in a compact form factor aimed at more demanding robotics workloads, while the T2000 provides 400 FP4 teraflops as a lower cost entry point meant to broaden the range of edge applications that can practically run advanced AI models on device rather than in the cloud. Alongside the new hardware, Nvidia released agent skills that automate memory optimization across Jetson devices, which the company says has already reduced memory usage by as much as 15 gigabytes for some partner companies working with tightly constrained hardware. Nvidia also expanded its Cosmos 3 foundation model family with Cosmos 3 Edge, a 4 billion parameter version specifically optimized to run robot inference directly on device. The new modules are scheduled for availability in the first quarter of 2027, and are intended to let developers build the next generation of humanoid robots and other autonomous machines without needing the far larger compute budgets that advanced robotics has typically required.
